My name is Maggie Woods, and I serve as the Referral Liaison both for Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care and the Emergency Center at West Hills Animal Hospital in Huntington, New York.
With more than 35 years of experience in advertising, marketing, public relations, and fundraising, I’m proud to be a dependable point of contact for referring veterinarians and their teams throughout the referral process.
I’ve truly enjoyed meeting many of you and sincerely appreciate your warm welcome and continued support. If we haven’t yet met, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about our services, procedures, specialists, or emergency room doctors.
Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care specializes in veterinary medicine and does not provide elective services or routine appointments. Our specialty departments work closely with primary veterinarians to review cases, answer questions, and help guide future care when referrals are needed. Our specialties include Behavior Medicine, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Rehabilitation/Physical Therapy, Reproduction/Theriogenology, and Surgery.
West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center serves as an extension of primary veterinary care, providing emergency care and accepting direct transfers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our team is equipped to provide intensive, emergent, and urgent care when primary care is unavailable, with direct access to Gold Coast specialists when time is of the essence.
We deeply value the trust you place in us when referring your patients. My mission is to personally help ensure that our referral relationships remain trusted, effective, and efficient. Our client protection promise begins with recognizing and respecting the important bond you have with your clients. Once specialty or emergency treatment is resolved, patients are explicitly directed back to their primary veterinarian for routine care, primary care, and follow-up.
I’m also the coordinator and point of contact for our Continuing Education Events. My goal is to make each educational workshop informative and enjoyable by incorporating unique themes, cuisines, venues, and relevant topics. Please keep an eye out for our Save the Date and RSVP notices.
In addition, we offer valuable resources for veterinary professionals, including one-hour complimentary Lunch & Learns and private tours of our campus. If you’re interested in having one of our specialists visit your hospital or would like to schedule a tour, please reach out and let me know.
On a personal note, I’m a longtime resident of Dix Hills, NY. I enjoy traveling, skiing, cooking, wine tasting, and spending time with family, friends, and my fur-babies. In my new role as a grandmother, one of my greatest joys is spoiling my grandson, Logan, whom I’m even teaching to speak fluent Hungarian!
I love the field of animal health and am grateful for the dedication of veterinary professionals and the opportunity to partner with you. I look forward to getting to know more of you and will work feverishly to ensure the best possible collaborative experience for you, your team, and your patients.
Kindest Regards,
Maggie Woods
