Our specialty hospital is designed to serve as a seamless extension of your practice, providing advanced diagnostics, specialty procedures and collaborative support while preserving the vital relationship between you and your client.

Our Commitment to You

While a patient is under our care, we will provide timely updates and ensure you are kept fully informed throughout the course of treatment. We always encourage your clients to remain in contact with you for ongoing care and decision-making. It is never our intention to replace the trusted bond you have built. We are here to support it.

All referred clients are asked to sign an agreement stating that their pet will not be seen at our facility for routine wellness services. Following each appointment, we promptly send a full summary of findings, treatment recommendations, and any imaging or lab results directly to your practice.

If a patient may require advanced procedures such as surgery, ultrasound, or endoscopy, we will make every effort to contact you in advance to review the case and honor your preferences for case management.

To help us serve your patients more effectively, please provide recent medical records, radiographs, and relevant lab work by email, fax, or directly through the client.

How the Referral Process Works

Seeing a specialist at Gold Coast is a straightforward process. Your primary veterinarian coordinates the initial referral, and from there, our team takes care of everything.

Your Vet Refers You

Your primary veterinarian identifies a case that needs specialist-level evaluation and sends a referral to Gold Coast with your pet’s records and history.

We Review and Schedule

Our team reviews the referral, confirms the appropriate specialist, and contacts you to schedule your appointment at a time that works for your family.

Your Specialist Appointment

You come to 770 W. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington. Your specialist reviews the full history, performs their evaluation, and discusses findings and options with you directly.

Coordinated Follow-Through

We provide a detailed report to your primary vet. Treatment and monitoring may continue at Gold Coast, at your family vet, or both — with clear communication throughout.
