Behavior Doctor-to-Doctor Consults with Dr. Petroff
Need a second opinion or support managing a behavior case? A consult with Dr. Petroff isn’t a full behavior evaluation but can help when:
- The client lives too far for in-person care
- You’re managing the case but want expert input
- The owner isn’t ready for a full consultation
- Questions to Help Prepare for Your Vet-to-Vet Consultation
Option 1: Phone or Microsoft Teams Consult
Fee: $250 (billed to referring vet hospital)
Time: Up to 30 minutes
No medical records or forms required. No written report (available for $100 extra).
Includes discussion of case details, differentials, and recommendations for meds, diagnostics, behavior plans, and environmental changes.

Option 2: Full Case Review with Written Report
Fee: $360 (billed to client)
Includes review of:
- Medical records (last 5 years)
- Completed behavior questionnaire
- Up to 5 short videos (<2 min each)
- Litter box photo/video for feline cases
What you’ll get:
- Report within 3 business days (Tues–Fri)
- Behavior assessment, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations
- Suggested meds or supplements
- Safety, management, diagnostic, and resource recommendations
