Our specialty team is composed of Board-certified specialists and colleagues in their respective services. We utilize the most advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques available in order to provide the most comprehensive level of care.
Veterinarians who have achieved the highest level of training in his or her field are called “Board-Certified”. Board Certification means that a veterinarian has attained the highest level of training in his or her field, similar to human doctors. When they pass the rigorous examinations, they prove that they and have mastered the knowledge and skills in their area of specialization. A Board-Certified Veterinary Specialists has additional credentials after his or her name, including:
- DVM – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
- DACT- Diplomate, American College of Theriogenologists
- DACVECC – Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care
- DACVIM – Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Small Animal Internal Medicine
- DACVO – Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists
- DACVS – Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons
Veterinary technicians can also achieve the highest level of training in his or her chosen field. Veterinary technicians who have achieved this higher level of training have additional credentials after his or her name, including:
- LVT – Licensed Veterinary Technician
- CCRP – Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner
- NCM – Nutritional Case Manager
- OACM – Osteoarthritis Case Manager
